Fluid Fest Horror Show: A Goth Extravaganza Cabaret

October 31st tickets include admission to both the Cabaret and the LieLow Monster Ball. Guests are welcome to attend both events, or tailor the night however they’d like!

Expect the unexpected at the Fluid Fest Horror Show, a deliciously strange cabaret presented with Springboard and CAMP.

Come for the dark glamour, stay for the wonderfully unpredictable collision of live performance. Music, dance, theatre, animated objects, drag, irreverent comedy, performance art and whatever else crawls out of the creative shadows.

Fluid Fest has never believed in putting performance in a box, and this night is no exception. Bring your weird, and prepare to be surprised, delighted and possibly a little bewildered.

No costumes required. Black lipstick encouraged. Weirdness welcome.

Following the performances on October 31st, please join us at 8:45pm for the LieLow Monster Ball—a fantastically eerie Halloween afterparty!

Get your tickets before they sell out, and stay tuned for a full lineup announcement!

Featured Cabaret Artists

The Side I Never Meet | Mario Lemvar

The Side I Never Meet is a movement journey through sensation, visibility, and memory. Moving between choreography and improvisation, one body explores what it can see and what remains beyond reach. Accompanied by live double bass and electronic sound, movement and music listen, respond, interrupt, and discover each other in real time.

At times, one side becomes visible while another disappears into darkness. At other times, the body is seen from many directions at once, changing the way we understand what we are looking at.

The Side I Never Meet is an attempt to encounter the parts of ourselves that exist just beyond our own perspective.

Spoon | Ezgi Türker

A spoon, a red onion, and the rituals we rarely question. Spoon is an evolving performance research that stirs together food, folklore, cultural codes, and the politics of the everyday. Drawing on Turkish folk influences and a growing inquiry into Western cultural norms, this evolving performance research plays with the familiar until it becomes unfamiliar. Through objects, gestures, and the possibilities of eating, Spoon opens a curious space where cultural codes can be stirred, swallowed, or turned inside out.

The Build | Christina Krentz and Jocelyn Mah

In The Build by Christina Krentz and Jocelyn Mah, a woman is constructed, performs, and ultimately breaks. A being is collaged into a feminine form, then exposed by a handheld light. She seeks the light's attention and approval until the pursuit becomes untenable - and when she can no longer chase it, she breaks free of the build entirely. Blending live performance, collage, and light, this short work considers the feminine form as something constructed by others, and the possibility of release.

PAYNE | Marlo Hepburn and Joseph McManus

In PAYNE, a man shows up to take part in a free boudoir photoshoot he found through a Craigslist ad. The photographer has bigger plans. What follows is an exploration of masculinity, body image, and why you shouldn’t accept a Craigslist ad for a free boudoir photoshoot. Or maybe why you should.
